Rang for an appointment this morning, receptionist was offering me an emergency appointment in 5 days time. Asked about my MRI scam, which my problem relates to. How qualified is a receptionist to tell me it's normal ?? I've had a few operations relating to this alignment. Receptionist are very rude & want to diagnose you to fob you off. Will be sending in a written complaint. Feel as though you have to jump an hurdle to see a doctor. In all honesty the doctors are ok. Surgery has rang me back & made an appointment for straight away. Visited the surgery & saw a doctor who has said I should really see my regular GP. Has confirmed that there is an problem with my MRI scan & I should ring Preston Royal & speak to them. Went to the receptionist to ask how I put a formal complaint in. I explained what had been said & done today & the receptionist said everything was clear & she informed me that no further action is required had been put on my record. Clearly after seeing Dr Neesba she has confirmed that I do have a precluding disc in my back. What give the receptionist the right to give me false information, all I can say is the surgery just wants to fob you off as much as they can. Not a happy chap. Will be going over the surgeries head & write to the clinical director for the NHS
Bad receptionists one rude one who is not helpful at all. I felt like she was intimidating me.
Having read the negative reviews I really feel the need to share my own experiences. Staff in surgery are amazing and go out of the way, I moved over a couple of years ago from another surgery where there was no patient care. My experience at Thursby surgery has been brilliant and Ive interacted with the doctors, nurses and reception always polite and helpful and actually taking me seriously and not dismisive. It has meant the world to me regarding my physical and mental heath. Thanks you keep up the good work. Only thing Id change is to have more parking.
Still unable to order online 'unspecified' medicine taken regularly since the system changedHave discussed this previously with the Practice Manager to no avail and again this morning with the unhelpful Collette.Suggested I make a complaint to the Manager which I did some weeks ago, call at 12.30 the prescription line or call in and fill a prescription request form.Technology seems to passed Thursby by.
Its a busy surgery, the receptionist always try to help . It can take time to see the GP of your choice but when you are ill they have a really good system and will always get you in to see someone.
