I have breakfast quite regularly here, as the food is very very good. Today i opted for the smoked salmon and scrambled egg, which was excellent. It was extremely tasty and would highly recommend.

Vegan review: Was happy to know theres a new vegan menu! The last time I went about 13 months prior, the vegan menu was written on a piece of paper, so thats progress! There were 4 starters, 4 mains and 6 desserts to choose from plus 3 different ice cream flavours. I opted for the mushroom risotto as I had had the vegetable curry the previous time and it wasnt very tasty. The portion size was massive, the risotto was hard and underdone. There was a much greater ratio to the risotto than the vegetables, loads of rice and limited mushrooms, spinach and onions. I added loads of salt and pepper to try and give it some extra flavour. I left a lot. My sister ordered pasta from the vegan menu too, again loads of pasta was given and a limited amount of veg. The Bakewell tart cake was really tasty, it came with ice cream. Id have that again. My sister got jam roly poly and custard from the vegan dessert menu, which she enjoyed. We were 35 minutes late due to football traffic, but it wasnt a problem. The service was good, the staff were great.

The food was very nice but the lemon meringue pie didn't have much meringue on it. The pub is nice but the car park let's it down. The car park is not properly surficed as it has little stones all over it which could chip your car and it has many layers where it has warn away.

Excellent service and food. We were catered for with a buffet. The variety of food was great. The place looks lovely and I look forward to booking in with them to try out the main menu.

This is one of those places that cater better to small groups rather than block bookings. Food is very average but at a slightly over average price. Beer was good with a nice selection. Views are stunning overlooking the hills of the Summit in Burnley. Go as a couple, or a 4 or even a 6 at a push. You'll have a better experience
